Just like in the
song all good things must come to and end, the Easter holidays for example...
I'd asked my classmates to send me a photo of the items I'd knitted for them last winter and the first ones are arriving! I knitted a few cabled hats, so here's one, lightly photoshoped to make the colour more true.
It's supposed to be navy, but it looked more or less black on the photos.
I went to Hereford the day before yesterday and bought some beige yarn to knit a shrug. It will be knitted on some circular needles I found in a little shop in Hay-On-Wye, together with a set of double-pointed ones to knit socks on and a plastic card thing that converts between British and continental size needles and has a 10x1 cm hole so you can calculate your gauge without having to mess around with a tape measure...
I'm starting to think a blog that's only about knitting is a bit boring, so I thought I'd write a little about my life.
I'm just a normal schoolkid, studying Latin-Greek at the moment and wondering what to choose next year. I've narrowed it down to Latin-maths8(6+ as they call it now), Maths-science6 and Maths-science8(6+).
My hobbies are reading, listening to music and of course knitting and crocheting. I'm not very sporty, but I like swimming, acro-gym (a kind of gym where you build pyramids and throw little kids into the air), and surprisingly climbing. I've had to decrease my weekly hours of the last two due to knee problems :(.
I was taught to knit when I was about 8 but I didn't much like it then. I started again some years later and have now been knitting at a higher level for about 5 years. I learned to crochet 2 years ago, but I definitely prefer knitting. That's all for now!
